FamScapes uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the Service working securely, remember certain choices, and understand at a limited level how the Service performs and is used. This Cookie Statement ("Statement") explains the types of technologies we use, their general purposes, and the choices available to you.
This Statement supplements our Privacy Notice. If information collected through cookies or similar technologies is personal information, the Privacy Notice also applies. Where cookie-related information qualifies as consumer health data under applicable law, our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy provides additional protections.
Release 1.0 is designed to use a deliberately limited cookie footprint. FamScapes does not use advertising cookies or cross-site targeting cookies in Release 1.0.

3 · What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files or identifiers that a website or service stores or reads on your browser or device. Some cookies last only for a browsing session; others remain until they expire or you delete them. Cookies may be set directly by FamScapes or by a service provider acting in connection with the Service.
Similar technologies can include browser or device storage and other technical identifiers that perform comparable functions. In this Statement, we use the word "cookies" as a convenient collective term for cookies and similar technologies used for the purposes described here.
The specific technologies used can change as the Service evolves. A material new use will be reviewed for privacy and consent requirements before deployment.
4 · How FamScapes uses cookies
FamScapes uses cookies only for purposes that support the Service. The current Release 1.0 categories are summarized below.

Not used in Release 1.0. FamScapes does not use cookies to follow users across unrelated sites for behavioral advertising.

5 · Information cookies may collect
Depending on the feature and technology involved, cookies may collect or associate limited technical and usage information such as:
- session or authentication identifiers used to keep an account signed in and secure;
- browser, device, IP-address, network, and security-related information;
- pages or features used, general interaction timing, performance events, or error information;
- preferences or settings that the Service has been asked to remember; and
- referral-source or link-attribution information where a referral feature is enabled.
The information collected through cookies depends on the technologies actually enabled. FamScapes applies the Privacy Notice to personal information collected automatically through the Service.
6 · Service providers and third-party technologies
FamScapes may use service providers to support functions such as authentication, security, infrastructure, Service delivery, and analytics. A service provider may set or access cookies when reasonably necessary to perform the function it provides to FamScapes. Where applicable, providers acting on our behalf are subject to contractual and legal restrictions appropriate to their role.
This Statement explains the categories and purposes of cookies and similar technologies used by FamScapes. Additional details may be provided through a cookie-preference or inventory tool where required by law or useful for transparency.
Independent third-party websites and services are different. If you leave FamScapes and visit an airline, hotel, government website, travel provider, or another independent service, that third party may use cookies under its own policies. FamScapes does not control cookies placed by an independent third party after you leave the FamScapes Service.
7 · Affiliate and referral links
FamScapes may use affiliate or referral links to independent third-party travel providers or other partners. If you choose to follow such a link, limited referral or attribution information may be transmitted so the destination provider or referral network can recognize that the visit came from FamScapes or from a particular referral path.
The destination website may set its own cookies under its own privacy and cookie practices. FamScapes does not use affiliate or referral tracking in Release 1.0 to build cross-site behavioral advertising profiles or to target advertising based on sensitive Traveler information or consumer health data.
If FamScapes introduces a materially different form of affiliate, advertising, or cross-site tracking, this Statement and the applicable consent or opt-out controls will be reviewed and updated before that use is launched.
8 · Your cookie choices
Your available choices depend on the type of cookie and applicable law.
Essential cookies. Some technologies are necessary to provide a feature you request, maintain security, or keep the Service functioning. These cannot always be disabled through a FamScapes preference control. You may still be able to block them through your browser, but doing so can cause parts of the Service to stop working.
Optional cookies. Where applicable law requires consent before an optional cookie is used, FamScapes will use an appropriate consent or preference mechanism. Where a preference control is available, you may use it to change your choices for future use of optional technologies.
Browser and device controls. Most browsers and devices provide settings that can block, limit, or delete cookies and related stored information. Those settings are controlled by your browser or device provider and may affect how FamScapes functions.
9 · Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
Some browsers and extensions can send universal privacy signals. Where applicable law requires FamScapes to recognize a legally supported universal opt-out mechanism, such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), FamScapes will process the signal as required for the processing to which the signal applies. A universal opt-out signal does not disable technologies that are necessary to provide a requested Service or maintain security.
"Do Not Track" (DNT) is a separate browser signal that has not developed into a single, uniform standard across services and jurisdictions. FamScapes does not treat DNT as a separate cookie preference unless applicable law requires a particular response. This does not limit FamScapes' obligation to honor a recognized universal opt-out mechanism where required by law.
Because Release 1.0 does not use advertising or cross-site targeting cookies, a universal opt-out signal may have little or no additional effect on the current cookie footprint beyond any treatment required by applicable law.
10 · How long cookies remain
Session cookies generally expire when the relevant browsing session ends. Persistent cookies may remain for a defined period or until they are deleted. The duration depends on the purpose of the technology and how it is configured.
FamScapes intends to keep persistent cookies and similar identifiers only for as long as reasonably necessary for their stated purpose, subject to applicable legal, security, and operational requirements.
11 · Sensitive information and consumer health data
FamScapes does not use cookies or similar technologies to sell consumer health data or to target advertising based on a Traveler's health, disability, accessibility, dietary, mobility, or assistance-animal information.
FamScapes also does not intend to place sensitive Traveler profile information into advertising or cross-site tracking technologies. Where information collected through cookies qualifies as consumer health data under applicable law, the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy applies in addition to this Statement.
12 · International visitors
FamScapes' Initial Release (Release 1.0) is primarily intended for users in the United States, but the website or Service may be accessible from other countries. Cookie and similar-technology requirements can differ by jurisdiction.
Where applicable law requires prior consent or additional choices before optional technologies are used, FamScapes will apply the required controls to the relevant processing.
13 · Changes to this Statement
FamScapes may update this Statement as the Service, technology, law, or our privacy practices change. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects user choices or materially changes how optional tracking technologies are used, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by law.
